Is the West Not Aware of Israel's Apartheid Barbarism?

By Kwame Nkosi Romeo

Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim gives an account of the genocidal tragedy and destruction facing the Palestinian people under Israel's Apartheid laws of terrorist brutality as a crime against humanity:

It is a level of insanity to allow people to be butchered, babies to be killed, hospitals to be attacked, and schools to be destroyed. It is the height of barbarism in this world.

The difference between Antigua and Barbuda Ambassador to the US Ronald Michael Sanders and Alice Wugh, the well-known Jamaican Crab Lady at Hero Circle, is that Sanders daily peddles information disorder following the general narrative. In contrast, Alice sold a delicious crab soup delicacy to unsuspecting customers, and this became a viral video.

Why?

Because Alice willfully defecated in a bucket at her business place, wiped her bottom, did not wash her hands, and went to serve customers with filthy hands! Although Alice should be aware of the protocols of food safety and hygiene to prevent the spread of bacteria, so too should Sanders about politics and foreign affairs poopooganda.

Both failed in their respective profession and were deceptive, but Sanders's crime is worse! No response condemning the carnage in Gaza beginning on October 10. Don't be fooled by Antigua and Barbuda Foreign Affairs Minister Paul 'Cheat' Greene's meaningless defense 20 days later praising the work of Antigua and Barbuda Ambassadors worldwide.

None gave a damn! The United Nations Resolution item 5 A/ES-10/L.25 on October 27, 2023, was put into operation protecting civilians and upholding legal and humanitarian obligations, and for Greene to use that UN resolution three days later was misleading. Greene's interview with Antigua Observer was entirely Sanders's composition of Machiavellian tendencies and influence tactics. (Foreign Mister declares A&B's position remains constant, consistent, and carnage in Gaza must stop by Robert A Emmanuel -October 30, 2023- Antigua Observer)

Sanders was swift to condemn Hamas as being "..behind a slaughter of 1,200 people including children" in Southern Israel on October 7 but remained unsympathetic towards the War on Gaza that killed more than 8,500 Palestinians, constituting innumerable children. In addition, Sanders ignores the Palestinian life of tragic consequence, 78 years under the boot of Israel's Apartheid occupying force, constant oppression, and murder of the Palestinian people. Right-wingers turn a blind eye to the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians; in the same manner, Sanders's hypocrisy condones Israel's violent and murderous counter-strike on the Al-Ahili Baptist Hospital, murdering children, coupled with the general devastation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Two dreadful Palestine Catastrophes in 75 years since The Nakba in 1948 bear witness to Albert Einstein's fact-based words: "It would be my greatest sadness to see Zionists (Jews) do to the Palestinian Arabs much of what the Nazis did to Jews."

So far, the Israel War on Gaza has killed 8,500 Palestinians. Persistently, US President Joe Biden objects to these figures along with critical issues affecting the people of Palestine by not condemning the GENOCIDE!

Accordingly, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned Israel's 'collective punishment of the Palestinian people.' (Aljazerra- UN chief Guterres condemns ' collective punishment of Palestinians - October 18, 2023)

In the chorus, independent journalist Richard Medhurst's 'Let it be Written' criticized Isreal cruelty, the madness of round-the-clock bombings, and the violent killing and destruction of Gaza, narrates, "Let it be written in the historical record that Israel butchered Gaza over and over as the civilized West supplied the weapons and shielded Israel in the press. The police pretended to be victims, the settlers to be civilians, and the oppressors pretended to be the oppressed. In barely two weeks, almost 5,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel, half of them women and children...Israel destroyed 140,000 homes in Gaza..."

Dictatorially the mindset of Israeli politicians referring to Palestinians as human animals to be obliterated from the earth and shutting all doors to humanitarian necessities is unjustifiable and gives new strength to Hitlerism with the rise of Zionism! The UN Resolution General Assembly A/RES/3379, adopted on November 10, 1975, "determined that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination." Predictably, the UN revoked the resolution 16 years later with UN A/RES/ 46/86 since "Israel had made revocation of Resolution 3379 a condition of its participation in the Madrid Peace Conference.."

That was possible with President George H.W. Bush's coercion. As a result, on December 16, 1991, 111 countries voted to repeal the resolution resulting from Bush's alliance with Democrats. This linkage added to the arm-twisting of countries with directives of severe consequences should any country defy the tabled revocation. The time is now right; countries must agitate to reintroduce it.

Again and again, in close cooperation, US President Joe Biden's embracing of that evilness by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin 'Satanyahu' Nethanyu was an ominous warning that's an act of betrayal to the Palestinians' continued survival. That conspiracy lies in the minds of those perpetrating and continuing to support the history of Apartheid wickedness. Many bear witness to Apartheid in South Africa and the murdering and oppression of black people upheld by preceding US presidents and made explicit by former President Ronald Reagan, who campaigned on behalf of Constructive Engagement and Apartheid doctrine—a constructive engagement of killing, beating, imprisonment, and oppression. In any case, the US was disinterested in imposing sanctions against South Africa. Only in 1986 did the US Congress legislate the Comprehensive Anti-Apartheid Act: four years before Nelson Mandela's prison release, after 27 years incarcerated, and eight years before South Africa's general election in 1994.

Was the West not aware of Apartheid Legislation 1850s -1970s?

For ages, the West was hand in hand with brutal dictators with the terrorist mindset to crush to death the oppressed, destabilize countries, and assassinate progressive leaders. At the same time, the oppressors were free from Capetown to Tel Aviv. Take, for example, the extermination of the indigenous Cape San People by South African colonial settlers and brutal killings by the murderous association of sovereign people of Jerusalem, Palestine.

In South Africa, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) was a waste of time. Many viewed it as a sellout by the African National Congress (ANC) as compromising truth at the expense of justice. It limited the Commission investigation from March 1, 1960, not taking into consideration many of Apartheid's wicked transgressions before 1960!

Neither did the TRC do anything to bring murderous officials to face their crimes against humanity, such as Dr. Wouter Basson, known as 'Dr. Death', F.W. Deklerk, and countless Apartheid enablers! They all got away, and the tradition is as per the status quo, with Palestinians shattered under Israeli Apartheid and occupying forces as undeniable war crimes.

On the other hand, the Jews got justice; the Nuremberg Trial evolved from the founding of the International Military Tribunal (IMT) on August 8, 1945, by Allied powers United States, Great Britain, France, and the Soviet Union:

"From 1945 to 1946, Nazi Germany leaders stood trial for crimes against peace, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and conspiracy to commit any of the preceding crimes." -The Nuremberg Trials - National World War II Museum, New Orleans.

This IMT setup was because Germany persecuted the Jews and not because Germany defied the Treaty of Versailles by reconstituting the German fleet of U-boat submarines that sank more than 3,500 Allied vessels in the protracted Battle of the Atlantic.

Where is the conscience of the countries now to declare the prosecution of the Palestinian people a War Crime?

('Apartheid was never persecuted': South Africa unfinished business by Mia Swart- AlJAZERRA -April 27, 2020)

No US president can hold a candle to former President Jimmy Carter's genuine analysis of Israel's Apartheid and Persecution of the Palestinian people:

"There is no doubt that within the occupied territories, Palestinian land today is a horrendous example of Apartheid occupation of Palestinian land, the confiscation of that land that does not belong to Israel.

The building of settlements upon it, the colonization of that land, and the connection of isolated but multiple settlements of more than 200 with each other by highways on which Palestinians can't travel and quite often where Palestinians cannot even cross.

So, the persecution of the Palestinians under the occupation forces is one of the worst examples of human rights deprivation that I know..."

This persecution is considered a crime against humanity, as one of the 11 distinct crimes against humanity identified in the 1998 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court;

'Committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other group or groups and committed to maintain that regime.'

(Apartheid and Persecution: The Forgotten Crimes Against Humanity -April 30, 2021 by Clive Baldwin)

No peace will ever exist under the thumb of Israeli occupation and tyrannized oppression; all talk about two-state solutions, but progress is useless! Knowingly, the British government is blameworthy for giving away Palestinian land to formulate the State of Israel under the Balfour Declaration in 1948. Similar to South Africa's National Party subjection of the Black majority under Apartheid and land rip-off! All countries saw the Apartheid evil and the struggle of the fight for liberation but did nothing to assist the freedom fighters in overthrowing the systemic wickedness of human abuse. Cuba was the only country to help the ANC and the people of South Africa in toppling Apartheid, beginning in the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale!

Does Sanders know the history of Israel's continued cruelness against a defenseless people and the prevailing occupation and occurring racism?

No! To be more balanced, I suggest the ALP government review the following and pay no heed to Sanders's geopolitics ambition:

Sanders supported Antigua and Barbuda sending arms to South Africa's Apartheid regime; Israel did that, too!

So that's expected, as seen in 2016! Antigua and Barbuda did not support the UN Resolution condemning racism and was the only Caribbean country, along with 28 others, not voting in 2016! Israel did that, too!

A/75/251 70b Comprehensive implementation of and follow-up to the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action. RACIAL DISCRIMINATION--PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION.

Antigua and Barbuda cultural icon Sir McClean Emmanuel ' King Short Shirt's' song Not by Might relates it all in defense of the oppressed;

"The more we are suppressed and denied our right

To pursue all happiness and liberty

It's the greater our resistance

To tyranny shall be.."

Where is the voice of CARICOM?

The world of geopolitics is dutty and one-sided; criticizing Hamas and upholding Israel's evil is deadly. Nonetheless, the people of Palestine are not alone, and global support is more significant than Sanders's hypocrisy!

"Colonialism and segregation are nearly synonymous....because their common end is economic exploitation, political domination, and the debasing of human personality." (Press release, November 28, 1962)
